The SphereWMS system provides users with the ability to upload comma-delimited (CSV) data to build ARNs and Orders automatically.
The standard, manual process of inputting ARNs and Orders into the SphereWMS system is also available and defined in this User's Guide in subsequent sections.
Upload Data Grouping
The following data in the upload file determines how its consecutive rows of data are grouped to create the various ARNs and Orders:
Client Code
Custom Field 1
Supplier, or Ship-To Customer#
Inventory Account#
It is required that the data upload file be sorted by Client Code, Custom Field 1, Supplier or Customer#, and Inventory Account# so that ARNs/Orders are built properly.
Supplier/Customer Auto-Build
The upload templates contain the Supplier Name and Address information (for ARN's) and the Ship-To Name and Address information (for Orders). At the time of upload, SphereWMS system will validate the Supplier, or Ship-To Code, in the upload template against the corresponding value in the Supplier or Customer Master databases. If no match is found, the upload process will add the new Supplier(s)/Customer(s) to the respective Master databases.
Product Code Validation
The upload processor will also validate the Part Numbers contained in the upload file against the data in the Product Master. If the system finds that the new part does not exist in the database, it will reject the ARN or Order being uploaded and advise the operator of this rejection via email. The email will mention the reference number from the file. The operator will have to update the Product Master and, once added, the record can be updated using the Missing Part process.
Upload Template Guidelines
It is essential that the data is formatted correctly before uploading. The data upload file must be in a comma-delimited (CSV) format, and the file must be closed prior to upload. It is also critical that all uploads must use the ASPGS supplied templates. The layout and sequence of the columns is critical to ensuring a successful upload result.
