A required step for every Receiver is the Put Away process. The Put Away process is the assigning of received material to warehouse bin locations.

This step may not be required if EDI is used. Contact sales@aspgs.com for more information.

To assign received material to warehouse bin locations:

1. Navigate to Operations > ARN/Receipt Processing > Receipt Processing > Put Away Entry/Edit.

2. Type or scan the ARN Number, followed by the "Scan Line".

The Line ID is in the format "xxxxxxYYY" where "xxxxxx" is the ARN Number and "YYY" is the line number.

The ARN Print has the Line ID in a barcode format for scanning purposes.

After entering the Line ID, the system will display the Quantity Expected according to the ARN. It also displays the Quantity Accumulated (the quantity put away so far). As the Put Away process is conducted for each line item, this "Qty/Acc" increases.

3. Based on the line's Product Master File settings, the Put Away process prompts for any required information. As a result, the screen changes based on the Product Code being Put Away.

After all of the required Put Away information is entered, the user is prompted for the Quantity to Put Away. If the Product is serialized, the system will assume a Quantity = 2.

Once accepted, the "Qty/Acc" is incremented accordingly. If the total Quantity Accumulated is equal to the Quantity Expected, the system will alert the user that the line item has been fulfilled.

Exiting Put Away

To exit a Put Away screen, press ESC to move up one field at a time. Pressing ESC at the first question exits the Put Away Entry and returns the user to the menu.

View/Delete Put Away

Any time after the user has entered the ARN# in the Put Away screen, the F5 Function Key may be selected to print a Put Away Progress Report.

Any time after the user has entered the ARN# and the Scan Line, the F4 Function Key may be selected to display a Put Away Inquiry.

If the user needs to remove any of the Put Away entries, the delete functionality can be found in the F4 Inquiry. Double-click a record and a screen with the Put Away's information displays. To delete the entry, at "DELETE?" select ‘Y' (Yes) otherwise select ‘N' (No). If "Y" is selected, the user will be asked again, "Are you sure?" before conducting the deletion.

Press ESC to exit the F4 Function Key Inquiry.
