The SphereWMS System has sets of special function keys defined for every menu. These Function Keys (or "F-Keys") may be triggered through either the keyboard or a mouse-click on a menu drop-down screen.
Function Keys change from menu-to-menu and screen-to-screen. To see what F-Key functions are available at any given time, click the "FKeys" option in the menu bar to view a list.
Some of the most common F-Keys are defined as follows:
Function Key | Description |
F1 ("Help") | Context-sensitive help may be accessed when a user selects the F1 key. When available, the system will display help for the field where the cursor is located at the time F1 is pressed. |
F2-F7 | Depending on the active menu or the user's current function, a user can use F-Keys F2-F7 to view important inquiries, run reports, and in some cases add new Customers, Suppliers or Product Codes. |
Tips & Tricks: F3 Product Code Inquiry
The F3 Product Inquiry Function Key is a very important inquiry. It is accessible from most menus and sub-screens in the system. This inquiry is extremely useful, as it allows a user to lookup an active Product Code and drill-down to view its quantity levels, transactional history as well as its current location.
The F3 Product Inquiry's first screen displays each active part's On-Hand Quantity as well as its current availability based on pending Orders and Receipts (ARN's) in the system. Select a part to access additional query options.

Availability | Displays the total quantity on-hand, less quantity on Order, plus pending Receipts (ARN's) to show the part's availability across all Inventory Accounts. |
Avail by Inv Acct# | Displays the quantity on-hand, (-) Orders, and (+) Pending Receipts (ARN's) for each Inventory Account location. |
Cardex Inquiry | Displays an inventory ledger of all the inbound and outbound transactions for a part within a selected Inventory Account location.

Open ARN's | Displays all open ARN's (unposted Receivers). |
Receiving History | Displays all Receivers that have been posted for a given part. |
Inv Adjustments | Displays all Inventory Adjustments that have been posted for a given part. |
Stock Transfers | Displays all Stock Transfers that have been posted for a given part. |
Open Orders | Displays all open Orders (unposted Shipments). |
Shipping History | Displays all Shipments that have been posted for a given part. |
Inventory Detail | Lists the current inventory's lot numbers, serial/tag numbers, inventory account locations, bin locations, and quantities for a given part number. |
Inventory History | Lists the lot numbers, serial/tag numbers, inventory account locations, bin locations and quantities of inventory that is no longer in current inventory due to shipments, adjustments and/or transfers. |
